Student advice services

The University Central Administration has launched a process to consolidate the student advice services offered at the University of the Faroe Islands. The members of the student advice team at the University Central Administration Office are:

  • Holger Arnbjerg, International Office, who is in charge of providing guidance and information on studying abroad.
  • Elisabeth Holm, who coordinates the student advice services and internal counseling at the University
  • Anna Katrin Matras, ICT coordinator

The student advice team at the Central Administration works closely with the student advisors at each department.

Department student advisors:

Students advisors are mainly charged with offering students advice and guidance on issues related to their university studies, such as: academic contents of our degree programmes, curricula, approaches to academic work and study methods, how to reconcile learning, life as a student and wellbeing. Department student advisors cannot offer guidance regarding appeals or serious personal or social problems. In such cases, students are referred to the student advice services at the central administration studvegl(at) For queries regarding studying abroad, students should contact the University’s International Office ask(at)setur.foask(at)
